Wilberforce Chambers is delighted to invite you to our annual Insolvency Conference & Dinner which will take place on Thursday 1st February 2024 at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, London, followed by a drinks reception, and dinner at Al Mare restaurant.
This year our Insolvency Conference is focused on insolvency litigation involving directors and their duties. Reflecting what has been a lively area over the last year, our programme will look at the important highlights including: issues of delegation, the creditor duty in practice, injunctive relief to remove directors, the limitation of claims and developments on the remedies for breach of duty.
Guest Speaker: ICC Judge Burton
We’re excited to announce that our guest speaker for this event will be ICC Judge Burton who will discuss “Worst (and best) practice in the ICC” with two of our junior insolvency barristers, Tara Taylor and Francesca Mitchell.
Catherine Burton was appointed to sit as an Insolvency and Companies Court Judge in December 2018. Before that, she spent the majority of her career specialising in restructuring and insolvency law as part of DLA Piper’s International Restructuring Group. Catherine is currently the only full-time ICC judge who formerly practised as a solicitor.
If you have any queries or would like to RSVP, please email seminars@wilberforce.co.uk.
