Wilberforce Commercial Conference: The Future of Commercial Litigation

Thursday 28 March 2019
12.30pm - 5.30pm followed by drinks
Kimpton Fitzroy, 1-8 Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1B 5BE
£120 + VAT | 3.5 CPD

The Wilberforce Annual Commercial Conference is back with its broad sweep of topical talks and workshops; from essential updates on developing law to a not-to-be-missed talk from our guest speaker – Ed Crosse of Simmons & Simmons – on the new disclosure pilot scheme. Ed was one of the three members of the Working Group responsible for drafting the new practice direction and will explain the thinking behind the key changes introduced and what they will mean in practice for clients and their advisers.

Lectures delivered by our members will aim to focus on emerging trends and future developments in the commercial field which it is hoped will be of relevance to litigators and non-litigators alike.  Workshops will facilitate detailed interactive discussion of specific areas of interest with the aim of sharing knowledge and experience.  Our “5 minute pitch” session returns by popular demand with members of chambers competing against each other to persuade our audience that they have each identified the commercial case decided in the last year which is likely to have the most significant influence in its field for years to come. Every vote counts!

The conference will be followed by a drinks reception at 5.30pm.

Please note that guests need to register their place at the conference in advance and will need to browse the programme to decide on their choice of workshop before purchasing their ticket.
