InsolvencyOctober 2023
We are delighted to announce that the latest edition of Moss, Fletcher and Isaacs on The EU Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings has just been published by Oxford University Press.
Written by Stuart Isaacs KC (Wilberforce Chambers), Tom Smith KC (South Square) and Christoph Paulus (South Square), this is the leading work on the EU Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings, which has been widely cited by courts in the EU and domestic courts. It provides an explanation of the Regulation useful to all lawyers advising on insolvencies based in any of the 27 member states of the EU.
The latest edition includes new case law from the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and deals with the exit of the UK from the EU and the post-Brexit position.
Stuart Isaacs KC returned to private practice at the Bar in 2020, after several years as a disputes partner in a major US law firm in London. He practises at Wilberforce Chambers in the fields of commercial law, international arbitration, and corporate and insolvency law. He also maintains his own practice in Singapore, where he was the first KC to be authorized to practice foreign law. His practice covers the range of Commercial Court and contentious Chancery work and he has been involved in many reported commercial and EU law cases, having argued over 20 cases in the CJEU. He regularly acts as an arbitrator and is an accredited mediator and has rights of audience in the UAE and the Singapore International Commercial Court and several Caribbean jurisdictions. He is a Deputy Judge of the High Court. He was educated at Downing College, Cambridge, and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. To read more about Stuart’s practice, please click here.
